Mindsetseries Alumni at the internal security workshop

Special Adviser on Internal Security Hosts Mindset Series Alumni for Benue State Attitude Rebirth Workshop

Yesterday, Mindset Series Alumni had the honor of receiving a special invitation from the Office of the Special Adviser on Internal Security to participate in the 1st Benue State Attitude Rebirth Workshop.

This workshop wasn’t just another conference—it was a movement aimed at addressing the root cause of many of our societal problems: our mindset and attitude.

For too long, we have blamed politics, policies, leaders, and external factors for our struggles. But let’s be honest—the real issue is US!

If we truly desire change, we must first acknowledge where the problem lies: within ourselves, our attitudes, and the way we treat one another.

The Hard Truth: Are We Our Own Biggest Problem?

🔹 How can we progress when we constantly pull each other down?
🔹 Why do we prefer to see our brother fail rather than support him?
🔹 Why have jealousy, insults, blackmail, and backbiting become the norm?

We live in a society where it’s easier to hate than to love, easier to sabotage than to support, and easier to destroy than to build.

This mindset has created a culture where:
❌ Envy and rivalry replace collaboration
❌ Gossip and slander replace uplifting one another
❌ Personal interests override community growth

And this is why Benue State—and Nigeria as a whole—continues to struggle.

If we truly want change, we must stop pointing fingers and start looking within.

Why the Attitude Rebirth Workshop Matters

This workshop wasn’t about politics or policies—it was about fixing the very foundation of who we are as individuals and as a people.

Because at the end of the day, no government policy, security strategy, or economic reform will save us if we don’t change the way we THINK, ACT, and REACT.

This initiative reminded us that leadership is not just about titles or positions—it’s about how we treat one another.

💡 Real change starts when we choose love over hate, support over sabotage, and unity over division.
💡 Real progress happens when we stop blaming and start rebuilding—from our homes to our communities.

A Call to Action for True Transformation

We sincerely appreciate Hon. Joseph Terwase Har, Honorable SA on Internal Security, for leading this bold initiative. The Mindset Series strongly endorses this workshop because we believe that fixing attitudes will indirectly reduce security challenges and break down societal barriers holding us back.

But this must not be just another “good idea” that ends here. We urge The Benue State Governor, His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, to deepen this project and implement lasting reforms that will spread this message across Benue State until we witness true transformation in attitude.

A heartfelt thank you to Hon. Anne Mimidoo Kadev, Mirrorz Akonyiriiro Adanna, Amb. Keghter Agure-Dam, and all the Mindset Series Alumni who represented us at the event. Your presence and commitment to this cause are deeply appreciated.
