The young women of Kwande and Oju Local Government Areas, along with other locations across Benue State, recently benefited from a remarkable week of Free Business Skills Training delivered by Mindsetseries International. In collaboration with Jobberman Nigeria and sponsored by the Mastercard Foundation, this initiative aimed to empower women aged 18-35 with essential business skills.
The program saw an overwhelming response as women eagerly participated, drawn by the promise of empowerment and the opportunity to gain valuable business skills.
The training sessions were held at multiple centers, including Government College Makurdi School Hall, where 346 women were equipped with knowledge in business literacy, leadership, and growth. The feedback was incredibly positive, with participants expressing their commitment to applying customer relationship management, leadership, and growth strategies to enhance their businesses.
One of the training supervisors shared a powerful testimony: “Mindsetseries International has made me realize the strong woman that I am, my capacity, and that there’s no excuse for not striving. I am Adoo, a nursing mother, mobilizer, and agent of change. Nursing my most treasured gift doesn’t stop me from achieving my goals. I am happy Benue women are being trained.”
Another successful session took place at Visual Lounge Resort on Uni Agric Road, Makurdi, where 340 women were trained. Participants left with a renewed sense of purpose, ready to implement what they learned to foster better relationships with their customers.
In addition to the core training, attendees received free breakfast, lunch, and a certificate of participation, which they proudly displayed as a testament to their newfound skills. The certificates are expected to open doors to new opportunities and milestones for these women.
